WUSHU

Wushu is a style of martial arts practiced by the Hui people. It has traditionally been taught in the mosques of China. The Hui have faced oppression at various times in Chinese history. This led them to develop their unique style of martial arts. The "18 fist-fighting exercise of the Hui" is a popular boxing method developed during the Ming dynasty. The famous "8-diagram boxing" was developed by Wu Zhong, a Qing-dynasty Hui.

Famous Wushu masters include Wang Ziping, Wang Xinwu, and Zhang Changjun.
