A Muslim Greenhorn’s War Against Allah and His “Messenger” Pt. 1
It’s that time again to expose the lies and assault of one of Islam’s most conniving and deceptive internet dawagandists. The master taqiyyist and Muslim–turned apostate–turned Muslim again–turned apostate again–turned Muslim one more time, Ibn Anwar, has written an article concerning Deuteronomy 22:28-29.
The neophyte attempts to prove that this passage supposedly condones rape since it doesn’t punish a man who rapes a woman, but actually demands that the victim marry her rapist.
The greenhorn attempts to stack the deck by quoting a slew of translations and references which agree with his interpretation that the text in Deuteronomy 22:28-29 is addressing the issue of rape.
However, it is not a matter of selectively citing only those sources which happen to agree with one’s a priori assumption, but of actually exegeting the text and addressing the responses presented by those who hold to a different interpretation of the passage in question.
In light of this, we invite the readers to consult the following articles and responses to see whether the neophyte and his sources have actually managed to refute our arguments we presented that this passage has absolutely nothing to do with a rape situation.
In the meantime, what I plan to do in this series of responses is to show how the neophyte’s position ends up condemning Muhammad as a false prophet who really didn’t know what he was talking about.
But first, I would like to mention an exchange which the shameless and deceptive greenhorn had on Paul Bilali Williams’ blog concerning this issue.
When a Christian named defendchrist took issue (1, 2, 3) with the greenhorn’s desperate attempt of trying prove that Deuteronomy 22:28-29 refers to a man raping a woman, the neophyte basically resorted to personally attacking the Christian:

LOL my goodness. You have NOT read the article or if you have then you are horribly deficient in intelligence because the reason why Deuteronomy 22:28-29 does not entail the death penalty as opposed to its antecedent is already explained in both the main text and the addendum! Read the article man! Seriously, stop kidding yourself. Your word game has already been soundly refuted and your contextual analysis of kindergarten level has already been answered in the article as well.
As we shall now show, Muhammad must have been horribly deficient in intelligence according to this greenhorn since he believed that the very Torah which contained this command from Deuteronomy 22:28-29 was the uncorrupt revelation of God.
With that said it is now time to proceed to the evidence.
The Status of the Torah according to the Quran and Sunna
Both the Quran and the so-called authentic sunna confirms the Torah which both Jesus and Muhammad had access to:
Yet how will they make thee their judge seeing THEY HAVE the Torah, wherein is God's judgment, then thereafter turn their backs? They are not believers. Surely We sent down the Torah, wherein is guidance and light; by which the Prophets who had surrendered themselves judged the Jews, as did the masters and the rabbis, following such portion of God's Book as they were given to keep and were witnesses to. So fear not men, but fear you Me; and sell not My signs for a little price. Whoso judges not according to what God has sent down - they are the unbelievers. And therein We prescribed for them: 'A life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds retaliation'; but whosoever forgoes it as a freewill offering, that shall be for him an expiation. Whoso judges not according to what God has sent down -- they are the evildoers. And IN THEIR FOOTSTEPS we sent Jesus son of Mary confirming the Torah BETWEEN HIS HANDS (musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina al-tawrati) and we gave to him the Gospel, wherein IS guidance and light, and confirming the Torah BETWEEN HIS HANDS (wa musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina al-tawrati), as a guidance and an admonition to the pious. S. 5:43-46
In this passage, Muhammad informs the Jews of his day that they should judge by their Torah instead of coming to him for judgment. He then gives them a reason why they should do so, namely because the prophets themselves judged by its legislation. Muhammad’s point is that if the Torah was good enough for the prophets to judge by then it most certainly is good enough for the Jews of his day to do the same.
Muhammad then goes on to claim that God sent Jesus with the Gospel to confirm the Torah which was between his hands, a point which he repeatedly makes throughout his book:
And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, THE TORAH and the Gospel, And (appoint him) as a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I bring the dead into life, by Allah's leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe; (I have come to you), TO CONFIRM THE TORAH WHICH IS BETWEEN MY HANDS (Wa musaddiqan lima bayna yadayya mina al-tawrat). And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. So fear Allah, and obey me." S. 3:48-50
And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, CONFIRMING THE TORAH THAT IS BETWEEN MY HANDS (musaddiqan lima bayna yadayya mina al-tawrat), and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "This is evident sorcery!" S. 61:6
Just in case the neophyte accuses us of reading too much into these texts or of misinterpreting them, much like he has done with the text of Deuteronomy 22:28-29, we will simply allow one of his own renowned Muslim scholars and expositors explain the meaning of these verses for us. The following is Ibn Kathir’s commentary on Q. 5:46-47:
<'Isa, son of Maryam, confirming the Tawrah that had come before him,> meaning, he believed in it AND RULED BY IT…
<and confirmation of the Tawrah that had come before it,> meaning, HE ADHERED TO THE TAWRAH, except for the few instances that clarified the truth where the Children of Israel differed. Allah states in another Ayah that 'Isa said to the Children of Israel… <…and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you.>
So the scholars say that the Injil abrogated some of the rulings of the Tawrah… (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Abridged, Volume 3, Parts 6, 7 & 8, Surat An-Nisa, Verse 148 to the end of Surat Al-An'am, Abridged by a group of scholars under the supervision of Shaykh Safiur-Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri [Darussalam Publishers & Distributors, Riyadh, Houston, New York, Lahore; January 2000, first edition], pp. 193-194; bold and capital emphasis ours)
Here is what he said in respect to Q. 3:48-50:
<the Tawrah and the Injil>. The Tawrah is the Book THAT ALLAH SENT DOWN TO MUSA, son of Imran, while the Injil is what Allah sent down to Isa, son of Maryam, peace be upon them, AND ISA MEMORIZED BOTH BOOKS…
<If you believe. And I have come confirming that which was before me of the Tawrah,> affirming the Tawrah AND UPHOLDING IT," (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Abridged, Volume 2, parts 3,4 & 5, Surat Al-Baqarah, Verse 253, to Surat An-Nisa, Verse 147 [March 2000], pp. 163, 165; bold and capital emphasis ours)
And this is what he wrote in reference to Q. 61:6:
“‘Isa said, 'The Tawrah conveyed the glad tidings of my coming, and my coming CONFIRMS THE TRUTH OF THE TAWRAH…’” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Abridged, Volume 9, Surat Al-Jathiyah to the end of Surat Al-Munafiqun [September 2000, first edition], p. 617; bold and capital emphasis ours)
So according to Ibn Kathir, Jesus not only memorized and confirmed the truth of the very same Torah which contained the text of Deuteronomy 22:28-29, he even adhered to and ruled by it!
It gets a lot worse for this wannabe apologist. In the following citation, Muhammad is reported to have asked the Jews for their copy of the Torah which he then proceeded to confirm and praise as the very Word of God:
“… It was reported that this part of the Ayah was revealed about some Jews who committed murder and who said to each other, ‘Let us ask Muhammad to judge between us, and if he decides that we pay the Diyah, accept his judgement. If he decides on capital punishment, do not accept his judgement.’ The correct opinion is that this Ayah was revealed about the two Jews who committed adultery. The Jews changed the law they had in their Book from Allah on the matter of punishment for adultery, from stoning to death, to a hundred flogs and making the offenders ride a donkey facing the back of the donkey. When this incident of adultery occurred after the Hijrah, they said to each other, ‘Let us go to Muhammad and seek his judgement. If he gives a ruling of flogging, then implement his decision and make it a proof for you with Allah. This way, one of Allah's Prophets will have upheld this ruling amongst you. But if he decides that the punishment should be stoning to death, then do not accept his decision.’ There are several Hadiths mentioning this story. Malik reported that Nafi` said that `Abdullah bin `Umar said, ‘The Jews came to Allah's Messenger and mentioned that a man and a woman from them committed adultery. Allah's Messenger said to them…
<<What do find of the ruling about stoning in the Tawrah>> They said, “We only find that they should be exposed and flogged.” `Abdullah bin Salam said, “You lie. The Tawrah mentions stoning, SO BRING THE TAWRAH.” THEY BROUGHT THE TAWRAH AND OPENED IT but one of them hid the verse about stoning with his hand and recited what is before and after that verse. `Abdullah bin Salam said to him, “Remove your hand,” and he removed it, thus uncovering the verse about stoning. So they said, “He (`Abdullah bin Salam) has said the truth, ‘O Muhammad! It is the verse about stoning.” The Messenger of Allah decided that the adulterers be stoned to death and his command was carried out. I saw that man shading the woman from the stones with his body.’ Al-Bukhari and Muslim also collected this Hadith and this is the wording collected by Al-Bukhari. In another narration by Al-Bukhari, the Prophet said to the Jews…
<<What would you do in this case?>> They said, ‘We would humiliate and expose them.’ The Prophet recited…
<<BRING HERE THE TAWRAH AND RECITE IT, IF YOU ARE TRUTHFUL.>> So they brought a man who was blind in one eye and who was respected among them and said to him, ‘Read (from the Tawrah).’ So he read until he reached a certain verse and then covered it with his hand. He was told, ‘Remove your hand,’ and it was the verse about stoning. So that man said, ‘O Muhammad! This is the verse about stoning, and we had hid its knowledge among us.’ So the Messenger ordered that the two adulterers be stoned, and they were stoned. Muslim recorded that a Jewish man and a Jewish woman were brought before Allah's Messenger because they committed adultery. The Messenger of Allah went to the Jews and asked them…
<<What is the ruling that you find in the Tawrah for adultery?>> They said, ‘We expose them, carry them (on donkeys) backwards and parade them in public.’ The Prophet recited…
<<Bring here the Tawrah and recite it, if you are truthful.>> So they brought the Tawrah and read from it until the reader reached the verse about stoning. Then he placed his hand on that verse and read what was before and after it. `Abdullah bin Salam, who was with the Messenger of Allah , said, ‘Order him to remove his hand,’ and he removed his hand and under it was the verse about stoning. So the Messenger of Allah commanded that the adulterers be stoned, and they were stoned. `Abdullah bin `Umar said, ‘I was among those who stoned them and I saw the man shading the woman from the stones with his body.’ Abu Dawud recorded that Ibn `Umar said, ‘Some Jews came to the Messenger of Allah and invited him to go to the Quff area. So he went to the house of Al-Midras and they said, ‘O Abu Al-Qasim! A man from us committed adultery with a woman, so decide on their matter.’ They arranged a pillow for the Messenger of Allah and he sat on it and said…
<<Bring the Tawrah to me.>> He was brought the Tawrah and he removed the pillow from under him and placed the Tawrah on it, saying…
<<I TRUST YOU AND HE WHO REVEALED IT TO YOU.>> He then said…
<<Bring me your most knowledgeable person.>> So he was brought a young man… and then he mentioned the rest of the story that Malik narrated from Nafi`… These Hadiths state that the Messenger of Allah issued a decision that conforms with the ruling in the Tawrah, not to honor the Jews in what they believe in, for the Jews were commanded to follow the Law of Muhammad only. Rather, the Prophet did this because Allah commanded him to do so. He asked them about the ruling of stoning in the Tawrah to make them admit to what the Tawrah contains and what they collaborated to hide, deny and exclude from implementing for all that time. They had to admit to what they did, although they did it while having knowledge of the correct ruling…” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Q. 5:41; bold and capital emphasis ours)
Muhammad not only demanded that the Jews bring their copy of the Torah and rule by it, he even went as far as to testify to the fact that the Torah which these Jews possessed was the revelation that God had given them!
What makes this all the more interesting is that Muslim scholars used this very narration from Abu Dawud, along with the following Quranic reference,
And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can change His Words. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. S. 6:115 Hilali-Khan
To prove that the text of the Torah remains intact since no one is capable of corrupting it. The following quote is taken from a renowned scholar and student of the so-called Shaykh of Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, namely Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah:
On the other side, another party of hadith and fiqh scholars said:
These changes took place during its interpretation and not during the process of its revelation.
This is the view of Abi Abdullah Muhammad bin Ishmael Al-Bukhari who said in his hadith collection:
No one can corrupt the text by removing any of Allah’s words from his Books, but they corrupted it by misinterpreting it.
Al-Razi also agrees with this opinion. In his commentary he said:
There is a difference of opinions regarding this matter among some of the respectable scholars. Some of these scholars said: the manuscript copies of the Torah were distributed everywhere and no one knows the exact number of these copies except Allah. It is impossible to have a conspiracy to change or alter the word of God in all of these copies without missing any copy. Such a conspiracy will not be logical or possible. And when Allah told his messenger (Muhammad) to ask the Jews to bring their Torah and read it concerning the stoning command they were not able to change this command from their copies, that is why they covered up the stoning verse while they were reading it to the prophet. It was then when Abdullah Ibn Salam requested that they remove their hand so that the verse became clear. If they have changed or altered the Torah then this verse would have been one of the important verses to be altered by the Jews.
Also, whenever the prophet would ask them (the Jews) concerning the prophecies about him in the Torah they were not able to remove them either, and they would respond by stating that they are not about him and they are still waiting for the prophet in their Torah.
Abu Dawood narrated in his collection that Ibn Umar said:
A group of Jewish people invited the messenger of Allah to a house. When he came, they asked him: O Abu Qassim, one of our men committed adultery with a woman, what is your judgment against him? So they placed a pillow and asked the messenger of Allah to set on it. Then the messenger of Allah proceeded to say: bring me the Torah. When they brought it, he removed the pillow from underneath him and placed the Torah on it and said: I believe in you and in the one who revealed you, then said: bring me one of you who have the most knowledge. So they brought him a young man who told him the story of the stoning.
The scholars said:
If the Torah was corrupted he would not have placed it on the pillow and he would not have said: I believe in you and in the one who revealed you.
This group of scholars also said:
Allah said:
"And the word of your Lord has been accomplished truly and justly; there is none who can change His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing."
And the Torah is Allah’s word. (Ighathat Al Lahfan, Volume 2, p. 351; bold emphasis ours)
This now raises serious problems for this neophyte that masquerades as an apologist and scholar. The Torah which Jesus and Muhammad confirmed to be the uncorrupt Word of God contained the passage found in Deuteronomy 22:28-29, a text which the greenhorn insists is about a woman being raped and forced to marrying the rapist.
Therefore, the greenhorn ends up condemning both Jesus and his own false prophet for affirming a Scripture which contains a command that the neophyte finds morally objectionable (which is primarily due to his skewed interpretation of it).
In fact, this shameless greenhorn has no choice but to now come out and mock the Lord Jesus and the false prophet Muhammad for believing the Torah to be perfectly inerrant which contains no absurd or unpalatable morals:
Ibn Anwaribn anwar February 12, 2013 at 1:46 pm
Yes, brother Paul, I too suspect that he refuses to yield as he believes it to be perfectly inerrant containing no absurd or unpalatable morals.
What this basically means is that the neophyte is much smarter and more morally upright than his own prophet (which is to be expected seeing that Muhammad was an antichrist and deceiver).
In light of this, the greenhorn has no other option but to abandon Islam once again and come out and condemn Muhammad for affirming a book which contains absurdities and unpalatable moral instructions. Since he has already done so on two previous occasions,
Ibn Anwar gets one thing right, yet is terribly wrong, AGAIN! 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4
It shouldn’t be hard for him to leave his false and wicked religion for a third time, and take a stand with us in exposing Muhammad for the immoral imposter that he truly was.
Until he decides to do the honorable thing of turning his back again on Muhammad and come right out condemn this false prophet for failing to live up to the neophyte’s moral standards, we are going to proceed to the next section of our rebuttal where we shall prove that it is actually Allah and his “messenger” who approve of such morally reprehensible acts as rape, adultery and prostitution.
