A Collection of Responses to one Muslim crusader’s tirade against Christianity

Sam Shamoun

Jalal Abualrub has recently posted several "responses" to an unnamed Christian concerning the Biblical doctrines of the Trinity and Jesus’ crucifixion versus Islamic monotheism and other related issues:

Since his gross distortion of both Biblical and Islamic theology have been exposed and refuted over and over again, all of which can be found here:

There is no need to repeat ourselves by writing further rebuttals exposing this pseudo-scholar and dawagandist.

Another Muslim propagandist named Abdur-Rahman decided to chime in and provide a series of "replies" to this unnamed Christian. Again since all of his points have already been thoroughly refuted we will simply provide the links to these rebuttals and offer a few brief comments to some of his assertions.

It is ironic that the dawagandist refers to the Angel of Yahweh in an attempt to deny the Deity of Christ. Apart from distorting the OT passages to make it seem as if there was more than one Angel who was identified as God, the Muslim failed to see how all of these references refute his assertion that God is a singularity-within-unity. The OT writers clearly believed that this Angel of Yahweh was both distinct from and was God at the same time. In fact, the Biblical data conclusively shows that this Angel is actually OT appearances of the prehuman Christ:

The Muslim propagandist says concerning Jesus' omnipresence and his indwelling the Father:

Regarding this statement of Jesus: Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? --- I would like to tell you that this is not unique to Jesus:

1. Surely God is IN you; and there is none else. There is no other god (Isaiah 45:14)
2. One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and IN ALL. (Ephesians 4:6)
3. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives IN US and his love is made complete in us. We know that WE LIVE IN HIM (!!!) and HE IN US, because he has given us of his Spirit. (1 John 4:11-13)
4. My soul rests in God alone (Psalms 62:1) etc.

These examples will backfire against the writer since Jesus claims to dwell with and in all his followers in the same way that God is said to indwell his people:

"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20

"and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20

"‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and IAM IN YOU. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.’ … Jesus replied, ‘If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and WE will come to him and make OUR home with him.’" John 14:20-21, 23

Remain in me, and I will remain IN YOU. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I IN HIM, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:4-5

"I IN THEM and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me… I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be IN THEM." John 17:23, 26

"We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—EVEN IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. He is the true God and eternal life." 1 John 5:20

Not only does Jesus say that he lives in all his followers he even claims that he is present with all believers in the same sense and to the same extent that the Father dwells with them!

The Muslim writer further says:

The Christian brother said: 'Jesus is omnipresent, everywhere, like God'- Notice the ‘like God' argument here. Anyway I can conclude from a similar verse that Children, yes children are 'omnipresent':

SEE: "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their (the children's) angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." (Matt. 18:10)

Notice how the dawagandist has to pervert Matthew 18:10 in order to avoid admitting that the Lord Jesus did claim to be God when he stated that he is omnipresent. Nowhere does Jesus say that the children themselves are before the face of God but rather that their angels stand before God in order to pray for them. This simply means that God has assigned certain angels the task of overseeing the protection of believers, in this case those who are spiritually young in faith, since God’s angelic host serve the heirs of salvation:

"Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" Hebrews 1:14

As such, this text furnishes absolutely no support for the assertion that children or even angels are omnipresent. In the case of Christ, however, the NT doesn’t merely say that he stands before the Father in order to intercede for believers. Rather, the passages quite emphatically and explicitly claim that Jesus himself is personally (yet not physically) present with all true followers everywhere.
